Chiara Bergonzi
Mother of 3, Co Founder , dedicated to expand the organization's influence within the community by actively seeking opportunities to establish connections and foster a more inclusive environment through events and activities that benefit everyone in the community. 'It takes a village' means all of us; together, we can absolutely achieve this goal.
Founder
Laura Zapata
a graduate of Babson College in '89 with a specialization in Finance and Investments, also holds an associate degree in culinary arts. Co-Founder of 'It Takes a Village,' an organization dedicated to raising awareness for those with special needs, assisting this community with professional training to find jobs and integrate into society. On the other side, she also supports parents in coping with diagnoses, guiding them to find suitable therapies, schools, and specialist doctors.

Barbara Diaz
Chilean journalist, family coach, and co-founder of the organization "ittakesavillagekb," living in Key Biscayne for years. Married with 4 children, including a 24-year-old son on the autism spectrum, she is deeply committed to fostering inclusive social and work opportunities on the island. Her charity involvement spans from helping create the Manos del Sur foundation in Key Biscayne in 2000 to assisting the Department of Integration at Monte Tabor School in Chile from 2010 to 2015, as well as collaborating with the San Vicente de Paul foundation in 2010-2016, supporting children's and elderly homes. Upon returning to Miami from 2017 to 2021, she also contributed to the La Casita Foundation, aiding women at social risk.

Carmen Azpurua
Mother of two. Entrepreneur, with over fifteen years of experience in the international health insurance sector, has a commitment to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by our special needs community and actively seeks innovative solutions to advance their education and development. Carmen has collaborated with various educational foundations, particularly those focused on empowering vulnerable communities. This passion for inclusivity is deeply personal for Carmen, as she has a beloved daugther with Down Syndrome.
